Symphonic choir received Superior (I) ratings across the board at the Ohio Music Education Association State Finals this weekend.

The choir has not earned straight superiors for both performance and sight-reading since 2007.

“It was satisfying,” junior Brad Becker said. “I’ve been performing (in choir) for seven years, and you know when a performance goes well because it just clicks; it’s a high, a rush.”

Freshman and concert choirs and wind ensemble all received an Excellent (II) rating at state.
