Juniors and seniors who have passed all sections of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) do not have to report to school until 8:15 a.m. next week due to OGT testing.

These upperclassmen will attend lectures on topics including drunk driving and community service from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Juniors report to the main gym and seniors to the auditorium.

Upperclassmen can perform two hours of community service to be excused from the lecture Friday morning. These students would start class at 9:35 a.m.

“We asked ourselves, ‘How can we find ways to get educational experiences to our kids and promote community service?’” principal Victoria Swartz said. “Doing community service is a hands-on application of what students learn in school.”

Freshmen and sophomores will start school at 7:35 a.m. the entire week. Freshmen will do practice OGT questions while sophomores and upperclassmen who have not passed one or more sections of the OGT take the test.
