Junior Statesmen of America (J.S.A.) members will host An Evening of Karaoke March 5 from 6-9 p.m. in the high school library.

Proceeds will go towards purchasing desks for the J.S.A. sponsored school in Tanzania, Africa.

"We want to raise money to make improvements to the school and really stick with this project so that we can make a bigger impact on the kids' lives," J.S.A. president Maddy Herron said. "Karaoke is a fun way for kids to support the cause while seeing their teachers embarrass themselves."

Students and faculty can perform their favorite song or watch others show off their singing talent.

"I'll participate because I'm not afraid to make a fool out of myself and I really like helping out the J.S.A. kids because they do good work," social studies teacher David Barkey.

Tickets are $5 and will be sold in the cafeteria during lunch periods the week before the event and at the door.
